本作品 "CACTACEAE" (2024) REVIVAL 彩色 皮革仙人掌，展現 WÈI CRAFT 對皮革工藝的大膽演繹｡
土黃色的陶盆、棕色的土壤、墨綠色的仙人掌則在其中生生不息，而紅色的花朵為仙人掌增添了一抹鮮活的生命色彩、原色的花蕊是我們對於皮革工藝的初心｡
除了延續經典版本精緻工藝下的獨特仙人掌外型，還透過不同色彩的義大利牛革打造出一幅繽紛而生動的植物風景｡
"CACTACEAE" (2024) REVIVAL Leather Cactus showcases WÈI CRAFT's bold interpretation of leather craftsmanship.
The earthy-yellow leather pot, brown soil, and thriving olive-green cactus form a lively composition,
while the red flowers add a touch of vibrant vitality to the cactus, and the natural-colored stamen represents our original commitment to leather craftsmanship.
In addition to preserving the unique cactus form crafted with exquisite artistry in the classic version,
this piece brings forth a vibrant and lively botanical landscape through the use of different hues of Italian cowhide.

採用經典的雙針馬鞍縫法，早期用於馬鞍的縫製，堅固牢實｡
其最大的特點是以雙頭穿針線交叉手縫，使皮革兩面都能呈現美觀的波浪縫線，再配合一體成型的版型設計，展現出柱狀仙人掌的硬挺稜角｡
The classic Saddle Stitch also known as two-needle stitching ends up stronger than a machine stitch, gives the leather a beautiful wavy line on both sides.
With a one-piece shaped leaher, showing the stiffness of the columnar cactus.

兜 Dou
採用十字縫線法(Cross Stitch)，是對縫工藝的一種，用以平面連接兩塊皮革｡
這種縫法常適用於有弧度的物體，配合精準的版型，能在沒有填充物的狀態下形塑出膨潤的立體感，其縫法的變形亦常見於棒球的成形｡
The use of the cross-stitch technique is a type of sewing craftsmanship that connects two pieces of leather flatly.
This stitching method is often suitable for curved objects and, with precise pattern making, can create a plump three-dimensional effect without the use of filling materials.
The variation of this stitching method is also commonly seen in the shaping of baseballs.

角 Jiao
由品牌工藝師－魏大鈞 獨創變形自雙針馬鞍縫法的工法，將線段連接成三端進行縫製，可說是三針版本的馬鞍縫法(Triple Saddle Stitch)｡
經由三針交錯走線，讓三面成角的每條縫線都能完整展現｡ 是一種能用於多面疊縫時，仍保留傳統雙針縫線強度與外型的縫法｡
The use of the deformation from the double-needle saddle stitching technique involves sewing three ends of a thread segment together,
making it a three-needle version of the saddle stitching method is self-created by artisan WEI.
By weaving the three needles together, each seam of the three-sided angle can be fully displayed.
This is a stitching method that can be used for multiple layer stitching while still retaining the traditional strength and appearance of the double-needle stitching.

玉 Yu
利用雙針馬鞍縫法(Saddle Stitch)，透過外縫(Sellier)與內縫(Retourne)兩種縫線表現法接合10組皮片，呈現出仙人掌稜線俐落與圓潤並存的獨特球體｡
其也是品牌工藝師－魏大鈞 私心最鍾愛的一棵皮革仙人掌｡
By using the double-needle saddle stitching technique, combined with the outer-stitch (Sellier) and inner-stitch (Retourne) methods,
ten pieces of leather are joined to create a unique sphere with both sharp and rounded cactus lines.
And Yu is also artisan WEI's fravorite one of the "CACTACEACE" series.

鏡 Jing
利用層層堆疊的皮片，展現出片狀仙人掌扁平厚實的質感，縫線的角色也有別於功能性的結構，改將縫線視為點綴，以簡潔的線段詮釋仙人掌的針刺｡
而可移動位置的枝條，更豐富了片狀仙人掌生長時的多樣可能｡
The flat and thick texture of this cactus is created by stacking layers of leather pieces.
The role of the stitching is also different from the others, and the stitching is treated as an embellishment, interpreting the cactus spines with simple lines.
The moveable branches enrich the possibilities of the growth of live cactus.
